Meet Dr. Jessica Johnson
DNP, FNP-BC, CDCES

I became a nurse because I have a passion for helping people achieve health. After more than 20 years in healthcare, that passion has only deepened — and it's what led me to build Adorn Your Health.
Throughout my career, I've met so many people who felt stuck. They knew something was off — the fatigue, the weight that wouldn't budge, the sense that their body had changed and no one was helping them understand why. What they needed wasn't just answers. They needed someone willing to listen, look deeper, and walk alongside them.
That's the heart of this practice. I bring together traditional medicine, lifestyle medicine, and functional medicine to look at the full picture — not just treating symptoms, but understanding the root causes and the daily habits that shape your health over time. My approach is also faith-informed, rooted in the belief that we were designed to steward our bodies well and that real transformation happens when we care for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit.
I created Adorn Your Health because everyone deserves a provider who sees them, hears them, and meets them where they are — with the clinical depth to find real answers and the compassion to walk with them through the change.
My path here:
My first eight years in healthcare were in the U.S. Army, where I served as a combat medic and Licensed Practical Nurse caring for active-duty service members across a wide range of clinical settings. I left the Army in 2010 as a Sergeant and continued my nursing education, earning my BSN and MSN from Chamberlain University and completing my Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University in 2025.
Along the way, I developed a deep passion for metabolic health, chronic disease prevention, and lifestyle medicine — driven in part by the loss of family members who were gone far before their time. That personal pain became professional purpose. I pursued advanced training in obesity medicine, functional medicine, lifestyle medicine, diabetes care, and fitness so that I could offer my patients something more than what the traditional healthcare model provides.
Today, I specialize in helping individuals address insulin resistance, prediabetes, diabetes, weight management, thyroid disorders, and hormonal changes through comprehensive virtual visits. My goal is to give every patient the time, the thorough evaluation, and the individualized plan they deserve — so they can stop guessing and start healing.
I'm also a solo mom, a Pacific Northwest transplant living in the Tehaleh community, and someone who understands firsthand what it means to build a healthy life while juggling everything else. I don't ask my patients to do anything I'm not willing to do alongside them.
